FIRST DAYS OF SCHOOL (Varies by Grade)

August 15 – School Begins for students in these grades only: Kindergarten, 3rd, 6th, 7th and 8th

August 16 – School Begins for RETURNING four-year olds, 2nd graders, and 5th graders

August 17 – School Begins for three-year olds, NEW four-year olds, 1st graders and 4th graders


September 1 – New Parent Drop-In at the Kuse home 6:30-8:30pm (for parents of any new student)

September 5 – Labor Day, No School

September 21 – New York Times Author and International Speaker, Dr. Michael Thompson, will lead parents, staff, and students in a variety of workshops. This will be an opportunity of a lifetime. Topics and Locations TBA.

October 16, 17, 18 – SAIS and AMS Accreditation Team Visit

October 28 – Montessori Mile and Fall Festival at MSC, 5:30pm

November 23-25 – Thanksgiving Holiday, No School

December 21-January 3 – Winter Break, No School

January 20 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Student Service Day at MSC

*We are excited to provide a year-long schedule of events. Please mark these dates on your calendars and please know that all scheduled events are subject to change. Watch Me Work, standardized testing, plays, overnight trips and items will be added throughout the year. We will do our best to announce any modifications at least two weeks in advance.

**Grandparents and Special Friends’ Day is one of our favorite events and we hope that we will be able to bring it back on March 31, 2023. Whether or not we are able to host it will depend on the state of COVID-19 or any other unforeseen emergencies.  Parents may not attend.
